Revision D 6-31 Message Compose Basics
[ ] 4. Use the Font Load Utility (§6.6) in Message
Compose
(CNTL F) to load the Machine Fonts
into the Font Keys.
[ ] 5. Choose the font (§6.6.2) and begin typing.
To ddisplay fonts and colors:
• If you've loaded more than one font, use the Font
Keys to display different fonts. Switch colors or fonts
at any time by pressing a new
Color or Font Key.
Press
ALT before pressing a Font Key to select font
positions
9 through 16. Not all fonts have characters
loaded into all keyboard keys. If no character
appears when a particular key is pressed,
CHARAC-
TER NOT DEFINED
appears on the Prompt Line.
To erase screen:
• Press
Erase or ESC.
To delete a character:
• Press the
Backspace key or DEL CHAR.
To delete a row:
• Press
DEL ROW.
To center text:
• Press
CNTR PAGE for vertical and horizontal center-
ing. Press
CNTL CNTR PAGE for horizontal center-
ing only.
To record a message:
• Press
CLR. Enter a message ID number (0000 to
9999) using the Address Keypad. Press RCD.
To read (play back) message:
• Press
CLR. Enter a message ID number (0000 to
9999) on the Address Keypad. Press READ.
[ ] 6. Try the Mode Select Suspend function (§5.2,
§6.11) to work in a different program (such as
Disk Utilities (Section 19) or Font Create
