arrow appears to the left of the file name to
indicate it’s one to copy. Repeat this procedure
for each file in the list you want to copy.
[ ] 2. When finished, press
CNTL X or select
Execute to start the copy process. It doesn’t
matter where in the list you are when the
operation begins - only the selected files are
copied.
To narrow the copy operation further:
•Use the
FILE TYPE: field to copy only certain types
of files. Enter the field by pressing
TAB or SHIFT +
TAB
, then press the SPACE BAR to choose a type
(
MACHINE, MASTER, MESSAGE, etc.), or, press a
letter key to jump directly to a particular file type
(e.g., "
P" for PROGRAMS, "M" for MACHINE. For
example, to copy only Machine Font files, select
MACHINE.
•Enter
Y in the CONFIRM: field for overwrite confir-
mation (for example, replacing an old version of one
file with a newer version). Normally, leave the field
at
Y. If you're copying many files simultaneously,
you may want to set this to
N to save time. If set to N,
an existing file is overwritten with no confirmation.
• Copy a range of file names by entering the starting
and ending names in the
COPY NAMES: field. For
example, message numbers 10 to 20 would be
entered as
10-20.
• Enter a file name in the
COPY NAMES: field to copy
individual files. To copy all files beginning with the
same number or letter, enter the number or letter fol-
lowed by an asterisk (e.g.
a*).
To execute the Copy operation:
• Press
CNTL X or select Execute.
