The DATE INITIALIZED: field is the date and time the
selected disk was formatted and initialized. If the hard
disk (C) is the current disk, this is the date and time the
hard drive was last formatted.
The
MGBYTES ON DISK field is the disk’s total format-
ted capacity in megabytes. Floppies hold 1.32 megabytes.
Hard disk and IOMega cartridge data capacities vary
widely, depending on their characteristics.
The
MGBYTES USED field specifies how much of the
disk space is currently filled with programs, messages,
fonts, etc. This figure includes the format and initializa-
tion overhead.
The
MGBYTES REMAINING is the space available on
the disk for messages, fonts, etc.
NOTE
If the disk has less than 10% of its
space available, remove any
unnecessary files. This speeds up
disk operations, and also help
prevent recording problems due to
lack of disk space.
