[ ] 2. Put an RGB image to fill into CHANNEL A’s
buffer. The final result of a matte always
outputs to CHANNEL A.
If the object has been converted into a font
character, it can be moved to a different
position using normal text editing techniques.
[ ] 3. Enter the Mix menu and set CHANNEL A to
100%, and CHANNEL B to 100%. The
PREVIEW channel is ignored.
[ ] 4. Confirm that the buffer assignment is set to
CHANNEL A AIR.
[ ] 5. Make sure
Full Screen is On.
[ ] 6. In the RGB Tools main menu, press
M or select
Matte Tools.
[ ] 7. Press
M or select Image Matte to execute the
matte operation. If the following is displayed
on the Prompt Line:
PLEASE ASSIGN A FRAME BUFFER TO
CHANNEL B.
• Exit RGB Tools, then enter the Mix menu
and set the buffers as required.
[ ] 8. To exit Matte Tools.
• Press
Q or CNTL, or select Quit. The
image can be further modified in RGB
Tools and/or recorded.
To exit and restore the displaying buffer to its
original condition:
• Press
ESC.
Frame buffer contents cannot be matted on systems with
only one available frame buffer, e.g. one-buffer MAX!>
systems or iNFiNiT! systems whose remaining buffer(s)
