Start-Up 3-20 Revision D
The following can be set in the MAX!> Video Control
window:
Input Sync:
Video Input Module-equipped systems only. Selects the
system’s sync source - either sync on green (system
strips sync from the GREEN input), or external sync (sync
from the SYNC IN input.) Highlight the Input Sync field
using the cursor keys, then press the
SPACE BAR to
choose either Green (system default) or External.
Cursor Offset:
Select Composite or RGB. Aligns the cursor channel with
the frame buffers for either RGB or composite output,
eliminating any shift in cursor position over a character or
RGB image in Message Compose or Logo Compose.
Sync Control:
This item brings up the Sync Control menu, which con-
tains a variety of sync settings. Sync Control is described
below.
Genlock
Source:
601 Digital Sync Generator-equipped systems only. Gen-
lock Source selects the source of the genlock signal.
Press the
SPACE BAR to cycle through the available
choices: 601 (system genlocks to the 601 video input),
Analog (system genlocks to the REF IN input), or Free
Run (genlock function disabled).
Air/Prev
Gamma Out:
601 Digital Sync Gen-equipped systems only. Gamma
Out enables you to select the proper gamma correction
value applied to the 601 AIR OUT and 601 PREV OUT.
Press the
SPACE BAR to cycle through the available
settings - 1.0 (linear), 1.4, 1.8, and 2.2.
Air/Prev
Hot Key:
601 Digital Sync Gen-equipped systems only. Hot Key
provides a higher-contrast ("Hot") Key Out signal for the
Air and/or Preview channel. When ON, the key channel
transparent-to-opaque range is 1 to 1022; when off, it is 64
to 940. Press the
SPACE BAR to turn Hot Key on or off.
