CHYRON Corporation
Start-Up 3-38 Revision D
but the outputs will be unavailable to Message Compose.
The output dedication status is displayed upon first load-
ing Message Compose. Selecting an output when
Prior-
ity:
is set to YES also restricts the three XFER options in
Message Compose to one.
The outputs are as follows:
•Output 1: CHANNELS A (i.e. Channel 1 or AIR).
Note that text or graphics can be displayed through
CHANNEL B, but will be covered by any Recall
Keyboard output in CHANNEL A, if CHANNEL A
is exclusively dedicated to the Recall Keyboard.
•Output 2: PREVIEW (i.e. Channel 2 or PREVIEW)
•Output 3: CHANNEL B (Third Channel Output). A
scanline background cannot appear in the Third
Channel Output.
Output 3 can only be selected if
the system is equipped with the Third Channel
Output.
Selecting an output has the following effect on Message
Compose operations:
•If Output
1 is selected, only PREVIEW and the Third
Channel Output can be accessed by Message Com-
pose. Note that text or graphics can be displayed
through CHANNEL B, but will be covered by any
Recall Keyboard output in CHANNEL A. Addition-
ally, the output percentage of CHANNEL B will
always be
100. The only XFER operation that is
available is
CNTL XFER, which swaps the contents
of CHANNEL B and PREVIEW.
• If Output
2 is selected, only CHANNELS A and B
and the Third Channel Output can be accessed by
Message Compose. The only
XFER operation that is
available is
ALT XFER, which swaps the contents of
CHANNELS A and B.
• If Output
3 is selected, only CHANNEL A and PRE-
VIEW can be accessed by Message Compose. The
only
XFER operation that is available is XFER, which
swaps the contents of CHANNEL A and PREVIEW.
