This way, all fonts with the word “Broadway” in their
names are listed. A range can also be used. For example,
list all fonts with names beginning with the letters
A
through
M by entering A-M.
Size: Font Size can range from 10 through 1000. A range of
Font Sizes can be entered. For example, to list all fonts
that are between 40 and 100 scanlines in height (Font
Size), enter
40-100 in the Size: field. The wild card
asterisk (
*) may also be used in this field. For example,
to list all fonts whose scanline height begins with 80,
you'd enter
80*.
Edge: You can search for an Edge Type (No Edge, Border,
Shadow, Offset or Combined), an Edge Size (in scan-
lines), or an Edge Direction. Size, Type and Direction
parameters can be combined. For example, to list fonts
with Drop Shadows, enter
Drop.
NOTE
Because the Edge: and Size: fields
are in the same line in the font
description, the iNFiNiT! search
program may confuse an entry for
Edge: with an entry for Size:.
For example, if you entered 8 in the Edge: field, the 8 in
the
80 specified in the Size: field (Figure 6-7) would be
seen first by the system. To avoid this, specify Edge
Type before the Edge Size entry.
Another way to avoid this confusion is to use asterisks to
prevent the edge size from standing alone. For example,
to search for all fonts with edges of 5 lines, enter
*scan-
lines
in the Size: field and enter *5 in the Edge: field.
