iNFiNiT! Family Operation Manual
Revision D 8-11 Directory Features
Tabs: System Default - N
If set to Y, all tabs currently on-line are recorded as direc-
tory defaults. Those tab fields will be in place whenever
the directory is selected. Note that if
Mark is OFF in the
Tab Setup, the tab fields will be in place, but you cannot
see them until you enter Tab Setup.
If set to
N, tab fields will not be in place when you enter
the message directory.
The message directory default for Tabs is updated in all
frame buffers after loading Message Compose, and after
a Change Message Directory operation has been per-
formed.
Verify Of File Delete: System Default - N
If set to Y, VERIFY FOR FILE DELETE. PRESS Y OR N
appears on the Prompt Line before each message is
deleted in the directory.
If set to
N, no prompt appears, and the delete operation
proceeds.
Write Protect Directory: System Default - N
When Y, the directory and the messages in the directory
are write-protected when using Message Compose. Mes-
sages in a directory cannot be deleted using the
DEL
MSG
function, and no messages can be recorded to the
directory. Additionally, the directory itself cannot be
deleted.
However, the directory and messages can be
deleted using Disk Utilities.
If N, the directory and the messages in the directory are
not write-protected. The messages and the directory can
be altered or deleted. New messages can be recorded to
the directory.
The default should be set to
Y in order to protect a backup
directory. It is not generally set to
Y for a working directory.
