Directory Features 8-14 Revision D
Display XY Position: System Default - N
If set to Y, an additional prompt appears on the Message
Compose main menu, next to
WORD WRAP, giving the
current location of the upper left corner of the edit cursor
in
X (pixels) and Y (scanlines) coordinates.
If set to N, the XY coordinates are not displayed.
Displaying the XY position can slow system operation
slightly.
Auto Change Font Dir: System Default - N
If set to Y, changing the message directory automatically
changes the font directory to one with a matching name.
If that font directory does not exist, it is changed to the
system default font directory. To create a new font direc-
tory, enter Disk Utilities and copy fonts from an existing
directory to the new directory (§19.6).
If set to
N, the current font directory stays the same when
the message directory is changed.
NOTE
If a font directory becomes invalid
(e.g. due to removal of removable
media or by setting Auto Change Font
Dir to Y in Directory Defaults),
Message Compose falls back on the
system default font directory (e.g. C/
MAX, C/MAXINE, C/INFINIT), so that it
is possible to re-access the Font Load
Utility menu. If the boot volume is not
valid, the system falls back on the
current font directory volume.
