When you see Roll buffer ready - press any key to
start
, the Roll is ready to execute.
The following table outlines the Roll execution com-
mands. Either of the first two commands can start execu-
tion. The last four can be used during Roll execution.
Roll Buffer
Underflow
This error can occur during Roll execution at high
speeds. This indicates that the information to be
rolled is not being processed quickly enough to fol-
low the commands in the Roll Buffer Execution List
or the speed change commands from the key-
board. This causes the Roll to pause during execu-
tion, until the information is processed. The Roll
then resumes. Note that this does not make up lost
time in a Timed Roll.
Roll Buffer Underflow may also be the result of
trying to execute a Roll using messages that are
stored on a floppy disk or other removable media.
These drives cannot supply data to the CPU as
quickly as the Hard Drive can.
