Tutorial 3: Creating a Crawl Control Buffer List

Execute the following step if the Crawl Control Buffer is not displayed. Other-
wise, begin with Step 0.

When Crawl is executed, time computations and
error checks are displayed.

Enters number of rows that will be crawled. For
this example, enter

Row command is not entered, the entire Crawl
is executed on one row.

Sets Speed for the Crawl commands following
this command, until the next
Speed command is
reached. For this example, enter
6.0. Ì moves
the cursor back to the command column, where an
Ease command is then applied.
It is good practice to preview Crawls of speed 2 or less, or Crawls
of fractional speed, as they are subject to jitter.
There is no Crawl equivalent to Special Roll (§9.3.1) which can
smooth out the Crawl.

example, enter a range of message ID numbers

110 to 111.

Specifies a pause duration in fields. For this
example, enter
60. This pauses the crawl of mes-
sage 112 for one second (NTSC or PAL-M), or 1.2
seconds (PAL).
