PREVIEW
OUTPUT
The MAX!> Preview Output option (§14.3) provides a sep-
arate output for the Background buffer of the Extended
Effects Frame Buffer(s) (EEFB), which is displayed on an
additional monitor(s). This allows you to view the contents
of the Background buffer of an EEFB independently of the
contents of the Foreground buffer. Any text or graphics
messages can be read into the Background buffer. One or
both buffers on the MAX!> can be equipped with the Pre-
view Output. The Output Percentage level of the MAX!>
Preview Output is always 100%.
If the MAX!> Preview Output is present, there is a third
group of connectors on the back of the chassis. The
MAX!> Preview Output displays the contents of the Back-
ground buffer of an Extended Effects Frame Buffer at
100% video. There can be two such outputs added to the
MAX!>.
THIRD
CHANNEL
OUTPUT
(iNFiNiT!)
The Third Channel Output option (§14.4) provides a sepa-
rate output for CHANNEL B of an iNFiNiT!, which is dis-
played on an additional monitor. This allows you to view
the contents of the frame buffer assigned to CHANNEL B
independently of the contents of the frame buffer assigned
to CHANNEL A. This option is available for the iNFiNiT!
system only. The Output Percentage level of the Third
Channel Output is always 100%.
If the Third Channel Output is present, there is a third
group of connectors on a separate chassis. The Third
Channel Output displays the contents of the buffer
assigned to CHANNEL B at 100% video.
