Buffers 1, 2, or 3 can be set to execute a one buffer Read
Effect.
Mix can be set to execute a two buffer Mix Effect.
Experiment with setting Read and Mix Effects simulta-
neously. The results can be interesting. For example you
can execute a Push in one buffer, a Roll in another buffer,
and set both of them to simultaneously Fade in
Mix.
The Row Menu function (§17.3) is not available to
Mix.
The default values in the Multiple Effects window are as
follows:
Buffers
1, 2, 3 and Mix are all highlighted. The
effects set in them are therefore executable.
Buffers
1, 2, and 3 are set to Wipe and Transition
Pattern
A.
Mix is set to Fade.

Ease fields are set to None.
All
Rev (Reverse) fields are set to Off.
All Start Points (
Start) are set to 0.
All End Points (
End) are set to 60.
All effect lengths (
Len) are set to 60.
•All
Mesg (Message) fields are empty.
The parameters set in this window are not reflected in the
Mix Control window in the Mix Effects main menu (Fig-
ure 16-2) or in the Read Effects window in the Read
Effects main menu (Figure 15-1).
