Revision D 19-49 Disk Utilities
When File Check is activated, the system constructs an
internal table of the file name and latest version number
information for all programs in the following directories:
•SYSTEM/PROGRAMS
•SYSTEM/ETC
• SYSTEM/HELP
• SYSTEM/DRIVERS
If File Check detects a mismatch in version number
between a file(s) on the boot drive and what it knows to
be the latest version(s) of the file(s), a list of mismatched
files is displayed on the Prompts Monitor.
To execute
File Check:
[ ] 1. From the Disk Utilities main menu, press
CNTL K or select File Check. The system then
executes
File Check.
If the system finds that all programs are up to
date,

displayed on the Prompt Line. Skip to Step 3.
If the system finds a mismatch,

[ ] 2. Scroll through the list. Any out-of date entry is
marked by the following:
[Program name and version] Out of Revision!
Version x.y is the latest release.
[ ] 3. Press CNTL Q or select Quit.
