Press ESC to exit Tab Setup without saving changes.
Press
Q or select the Quit icon exit Tab Setup sand save
changes. The following commands affect a tab field.
They are grouped into three types and are more fully
described in Tables 7-1, 7-2 and 7-3.
Field Characteristic Commands. Changes the
appearance or condition of a tab field.
Tab Edit Commands. Allows you to change the size
and location of a tab field, delete one or all fields,
and cut and paste fields.
Auto Erase (T)
Auto Erase
clears the tab field for new data when
updating. When set, all data in the tab field is
erased when the first new character is typed on re-
entering the tab field.
T appears after the tab field
number in the Tab Setup Utility.
Numeric (U)
Compensates for the different widths of various
numbers, and centers the numbers vertically
between numeric tab fields.
Numeric appears in
the
Justify field next to the Justify specification.
Mark ON/OFF (M) Turns the outline(s) of the tab field(s) on or off on
the Edit Monitor. If
ON, tab outlines are dis-
played when outside of the Tab Setup Mode.
With either setting, the tabs settings remain intact.
Mark ON/OFF must be set for each buffer.
Cut Row (Y)
Copies the tab attributes of a cursor-selected row
of tab fields into a tab paste buffer, for placement
elsewhere on the Edit Monitor.
Paste Row (P)
Places the contents of the tab paste buffer to a cur-
sor-selected row. The paste buffer retains the tab
field attributes until another Cut Row operation is
performed.
Tab Delete (D)
Deletes the tab field the cursor is on. Pressing
DEL CHAR performs the same function.
