[ ] 2. Press COLOR FONT. This guarantees that the
Subpalette used when the character was either
typed or read is selected.
[ ] 3. From the Message Compose main menu, press
CNTL P or select Palette to enter Palette
mode, then press
P again or select Sub Pal.
The Subpalette menu (Figure 10-8) replaces
the Palette menu (Figure 10-2). On the Edit
Monitor, a Subpalette Spectrum (Figure 10-10)
replaces the Color Cubes.
[ ] 4. This step is optional (You may just want to
experiment with setting start and end points on
the Spectrum.): Use the method described in
Step 4 above to determine which color
positions in the Spectrum affect which areas on
the character.
[ ] 5. Press
SHIFT CHAR + Í or Ì choose a
Spectrum start position.
[ ] 6. Use one of the methods described in Step 5
above to select a start color.
[ ] 7. Press
M or select Mark Pos to mark the starting
color and position in the Subpalette.
[ ] 8. Press
SHIFT CHAR + Í or Ì choose a
Spectrum end position. A gradation can be
created over a span as short as 3 color
positions.
[ ] 9. Use one of the methods described in Step 5
above to select an end color.
[ ] 10. Press
G or select Gradate.
The Subpalette spectrum and the area(s) of the
character to which these color positions are
mapped take on the gradated color range.
Preview all characters in the font before using them on air.
