To configure the profile that you want, enter and commit the following statement:
[edit]
user@host# set chassis forwarding-options profile-name profile-name
NOTE: When you configure and commit a profile, the Packet Forwarding
Engine (PFE) process restarts and all the data interfaces on the router go
down and come back up.
The settings for l2-profile-three are configured by default. That is, if you do not configure
the forwarding–options chassis profile-name statement, the l2-profile-three profile settings
are configured.
Interpreting the Enterprise-Specific Service OAM MIB
Junos OS supports the generation of SNMP traps and alarms for performance monitoring
(PM) functionalities using MIB objects to manage Service Operations, Administration,
and Maintenance (OAM) capabilities that are in conformance with the service OAM
requirements and framework specified by Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 17, service OAM
performance monitoring requirements defined by SOAM-PM, and the service OAM
management objects specified in Technical Specification MEF 7.1. Junos OS supports an
enterprise-specific MIB, SOAM PM MIB, that defines the management objects for Ethernet
services operations, administration, and maintenance for performance monitoring. SNMP
support is available for the MIB objects defined in Technical Specification MEF 36.
