Release Information Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 10.4.
Description Enable normal time-to-live (TTL) decrementing in a VRF routing instance. You configure
this statement once per routing instance, and it affects only RSVP-signaled or
LDP-signaled LSPs in the routing instance. When this router acts as an ingress router for
an LSP, it pushes an MPLS copies the TTL value from the IP packet header. When the
router acts as the penultimate router, it pops the MPLS header and writes the MPLS TTL
into the IP packet.
Default Normal TTL decrementing enabled; the TTL field value is decremented by 1 as the packet
passes through each label-switched router in the LSP. This statement explicitly configures
the default behavior for the VRF routing instance and is useful for overriding the
no-propagate-ttl configured globally on the router at the [edit protocols mpls] hierarchy
level.
