sync-interval (Slave)
Syntax sync-interval interval
Hierarchy Level [edit protocols ptp slave]
Description Specify the requested log mean interval at which synchronization messages are sent
from the master to the slave. The requested synchronization interval is configured on the
slave. The specified value is the log
2
value of the requested synchronous packet rate.
Because the accepted value varies from –6 to –3, the specified packet rate is from 2^6
(2 raised to the power of 6) to 2^3 or from 64 packets per second to 8 packets per second.
NOTE: The configuration of the sync-interval statement on the slave is
effective only when the unicast-negotiation statement is also configured at
the [edit protocols ptp] hierarchy level.
Options interval—Synchronization interval of packets per second for messages sent from the
master to the slave.
Range: –6 to –3 packets per second
Default: –6
