System Console
A system or operator console is a terminal or PC that has a direct connection to the C4/c CMTS. A system console is
connected to the C4/c CMTS by means of an RS-232 port located on the SCM.
A system console is required to initially power up and configure the C4/c CMTS. After startup, the system console (port)
provides users with direct interface access to the C4/c CMTS.
