Another DCC or DBC operation is not in progress for this modem.
The CM’s load balancing group matches the load balancing group being balanced.
Is not under electronic surveillance.
Has no Unsolicited Grant Services (UGS) service flows, or any service flows that are dynamically created (e.g.
packetcable multimedia gates).
Has no dynamic multicast service flows, such as IP Video.
Is not on the load balancing exclude list.
The modem supports the target US frequency (if the target US is in the extended frequency range).
Has not previously failed to move to the target upstream/downstream channel pair (as shown on the DCC failed list).
Is not governed by a load balancing policy that is disabled, and the load balance type is not static only.
Is not in multiple receive channel mode (i.e. no service flows bonded across multiple downstreams), unless rule type is
bonded.
The modem’s load balance priority is zero.
Is able to register on the target upstream channel (for example, a DOCSIS 1.1 modem cannot register on a channel
provisioned for ATDMA.
Is not running on battery power.
DBC Movable Checks
Before a modem is moved via DBC, the following cross-checks are performed:
The modem is fully operational.
Another DBC or DCC operation is not in progress for this modem.
The CM’s load balancing group matches the load balancing group being balanced.
Is not under electronic surveillance.
Has no Unsolicited Grant Services (UGS) service flows, or any service flows that are dynamically created (e.g.
packetcable multimedia gates).
Has no dynamic multicast service flows, such as IP Video.
Is not on the load balancing exclude list.
Has not previously failed to move to an upstream/downstream channel set (as shown on the DBC failed list).
Is not governed by a load balancing policy that is disabled, and the load balance type is not static only.
