Purpose

Enables Graceful TCS Reduction.

Default Access Level

Command Syntax

configure interface cable-mac <mac> cable upstream graceful-tcs-reduction

configure interface cable-mac <mac> cable upstream graceful-tcs-reduction no

Supplemental

Information

When Graceful TCS Reduction is enabled and a power shortfall or DRW violation occurs, the CMTS will attempt to assign 2 channels

to the modem's TCS. If the CMTS is unable to assign 2 channels due to a power shortfall or DRW violation, the CMTS will assign a

single channel to the modem's TCS.

To disable, use the no option. This feature is disabled by default.

The MAC identifier. Valid numbers are 0-415.
