Purpose
Allows you to add a comment or a description to help you remember what is attached to this interface.

Information
To remove the description, use the no option.
Parameters
<slot>
The chassis slot in which the targeted downstream Cable Access Module resides. Valid range for the C4 CMTS is 0-15; valid range for
the C4c CMTS is 10-15.
<port>
The downstream port.
<text>
Descriptive information (up to 64 characters), identifying area served or other information.
