configure interface cable-downstream * cable power-level
Purpose
Sets operational transmit power in tenths of a dBmV for the specified downstream port.
Default Access Level
15
Command Syntax
configure interface cable-downstream <slot/port> cable power-level <power level in dBmV>
Supplemental
Information
Use any multiple of 10 in the range of 410-600 for the power-level value. This is in compliance with the DOCSIS MIB. However, the
CMTS supports power accuracy only to the decibel per millivolt.
Parameters
<slot>
The chassis slot in which the targeted downstream Cable Access Module resides. Valid range for the C4 CMTS is 0-15; valid range for
the C4c CMTS is 10-15.
<port>
The downstream port.
<power level in
dBmV>
The power level indicated in tenths of a dBmV for the specified downstream port. Valid range is from 410-600 tenths of a dBmV (41-
60 dBmV). The default is 490.
