Use this command to set the port web authentication protocol.
set pwa protocol {chap | pap}

Command Defaults
None.
Command Type
Switch command.
Command Mode
Read-Write.
Example
This example shows how to set a the PWA protocol to CHAP:
chap | pap Sets the PWA protocol to:
• CHAP (PPP Challenge Handshake Protocol) -
encrypts the username and password between the
end-station and the switch port.
• PAP (Password Authentication Protocol- does not
provide any encryption between the end-station the
switch port.
