Policy Classification Configuration Command Set
Setting the Status of Dynamically Assigned Policy Profiles
Matrix DFE-Platinum and Diamond Series Configuration Guide 8-93
8.3.4 Setting the Status of Dynamically Assigned Policy Profiles
About Dynamic Profiles
Dynamic policy profiles are assigned by authentication protocols as traffic enters the device. The
authentication server returns a policy look-up key (i.e. policy profile ID) to the edge device as part
of the authentication process. This ID is then used by the device to place the port (and its user) into
a predefined policy profile, consisting of a set of rules and limitations to be applied to the port.
For more information about authentication methods, refer to Chapter 14.
Purpose
To review and set the status of dynamically assigned policy profile options.
Commands
The commands used to review and set the status of dynamic policy profile options are listed below
and described in the associated section as shown.
• show policy dynamic (Section 8.3.4.1)
• set policy dynamic (Section 8.3.4.2)
• clear policy dynamic (Section 8.3.4.3)
