VRRP GROUP-ID AUTHENTICATION TEXT
vrrp <1-8> authentication text <password>
DESCRIPTION
This command is used in the Interface Configuration Mode. This command is
used to set authentication for the VRRP group. The authentication string can have
a maximum of 8 characters.
Note: The OmniAccess 5740 USG supports null authentication and plain-text authentication.
PARAMETERS
DEFAULT VALUE
By default, no authentication is set on the VRRP group.
EXAMPLE
ALU(config-if GigabitEthernet3/0)# vrrp 7 authentication text
net123
Parameter Description
1-8 Specifies the group number. It is in the range
1 - 8.
password Denotes the authentication password used. A
maximum of 8 characters are allowed.
