ENABLE SECRET
enable {secret|password} [5] <password>
DESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the Configuration Mode. This command sets the
password to grant access to the Privileged mode.
PARAMETERS
EXAMPLE
ALU(config)# enable secret test
Secret for level 15 is set
ALU(config)# enable password pass
Secret for level 15 is set
Parameter Description
secret Use this keyword to store the password
in an encrypted format.
5 Use this keyword to specify that the
password is already given in an
encrypted format.
password The password to be used.
Note: The password cannot
contain the '!' character,
since it marks the beginning
of a comment.
