DOT1X INITIALIZE INTERFACE SWITCHPORT
dot1x initialize interface switchport <slot/port>
DESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the Configuration Mode. This command initializes the
authentication for the client connected to a port.
PARAMETERS
DEFAULT VALUE
None.
EXAMPLE
ALU(config)# dot1x initialize interface switchport 5/0
DOT1X MAX-REQUEST
dot1x max-request <1-10>
DESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the Interface Configuration Mode.
This command sets the number of times that the switch sends an EAP-request/
identity frame to the client (assuming no response is received) before restarting
the authentication process.
PARAMETERS
DEFAULT VALUE
The default is 2.
EXAMPLE
ALU(config-if switchport5/0)# dot1x max-request 3
