IP FILTER {IN | OUT}
ip filter {in|out} <name>
DESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the Interface Configuration Mode. This command is
used to attach a filter to an interface in ‘in’ or ‘out’ direction.
Note: Each interface can have one ingress and one egress filter.
PARAMETERS
EXAMPLE
The following example binds the filter f1 to interface GigabitEthernet3/0.
ALU(config)# interface GigabitEthernet3/0
ALU(config-if GigabitEthernet3/0)# ip filter in f1
Parameter Description
name Name of the filter.
in Filter is applied to the ingress (incoming)
traffic if “in” keyword is used.
out Filter is applied to the egress (outgoing)
traffic if “out” keyword is used.
