VRRP GROUP-ID DESCRIPTION
vrrp <1-8> description <string>
DESCRIPTION
This command is used in the Interface Configuration Mode. This command
assigns a textual description for the VRRP group. The description string can be up
to 80 characters.

ALU(config-if GigabitEthernet3/0)# vrrp 7 description ALU-vrrp
VRRP GROUP-ID IP-ADDRESS
vrrp <1-8> ip <ip-address>
DESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the Interface Configuration Mode. This command
enables VRRP for the specified group with the specified ID on the interface and
specifies a primary IP address for the group. A VRRP group is enabled only after
the primary IP address is configured on the interface.

Parameter Description
1-8 Specifies the group number. It is in the
range 1 - 8.
string A descriptive text ranging from 1 - 80
characters.
