PPPOE MAX-RETRY
pppoe max-retry <0-255>
DESCRIPTION
This command is entered in the interface configuration Mode. This command sets
an upper limit on the number of unanswered PADIs sent by the PPPoE client
before the session attempt is given up.
If the max-retry value is set to 0, it keeps sending PADIs till it receives a PADO.
PARAMETERS
DEFAULT VALUE
The default max-retry value is 0.

EXAMPLE
ALU(config-if GigabitEthernet3/0)# pppoe max-retry 10
Note: max-retry value for PADR is not user configurable. Default max-retry value for PADR
is set to 5. After the fifth unanswered PADR, client starts sending PADI again.
RELEASE HISTORY
Release 2.3: command was introduced.
Parameter Description
0-255 Denotes the number of unanswered
PADIs sent by the PPPoE client before
the session attempt is given up.
