PER VLAN SPANNING TREE CLI COMMANDS
NO
SPANNING-TREE
no spanning-tree enable [vlan <1-4094>]
This command is entered in the Configuration Mode. The “no” command disables
the configured spanning-tree for a VLAN. By default, spanning tree is disabled.
NO SPANNING-TREE VLAN COST
no spanning-tree [vlan <1-4094>] cost
This command is entered in the Interface Configuration Mode. The “no” command
resets the PVST+ cost to its default value. The default PVST+ cost is 4.
NO SPANNING-TREE ENABLE VLAN FWD-TIME/HELLO-TIME/MAX-
AGE/PRIORITY
no spanning-tree enable [vlan <1-4094>]{forward-time <4-
30>|hello-time <1-10>|max-age<6-40>|priority <0-65535>}
This command is entered in the Configuration Mode. The “no” command resets
the PVST+ Forward-time/Hello-time/Maximum-age/Bridge priority to its default.
The default for each of the parameter is given below:
• Forward time: 15 seconds
• Hello-time: 2 seconds
• Max-age: 20 seconds
• Priority: 32768
Note: The following formula has to be satisfied when configuring the forward-time, hello-
time, and max-age:
((forward-time - 1) * 2) >= max-age &
& max-age >= ((hello-time + 1) * 2).
NO SPANNING-TREE VLAN PORT-PRIORITY
no spanning-tree [vlan <1-4094>] port-priority
This command is entered in Interface Configuration Mode. The “no” command
resets the PVST+ port-priority to its default value. The default PVST+ port-priority
is 128.
NO SPANNING-TREE VLAN SPANNING-DISABLED
no spanning-tree [vlan <1-4094>] spanning-disabled
This command is entered in the Interface Configuration Mode. The “no” command
enables the Spanning-tree on a specified interface.
