If the MSB is 0, use
the value present in
the lower 6 bits as
the min attenuation
for the ALC block.
If the MSB is 1, it
will mean use the
value that is
programmed for
AGC

0x03: Coarse gain

both I,Q
0x04: Coarse gain
index sent on the
ALC output pins

This Macro is used for configuring the settings for the ALC module. The first operand is again the chain
mask. This is to indicate for what all chains, the current Macro is applicable.
Total Gain Range: This will be the total gain range that will be supported by the ALC module.
Minimum Attenuation: This value is subtracted from the final attenuation for which the gain
compensation needs to be done. There are two ways of getting this minimum attenuation.
1. One way is to directly use whatever minimum attenuation is set in the internal AGC. In that case, the
MSB bit should be set to 1 so that value is in 6 bits will not take effect.
2. Other way is to mention a different value in the Macro itself. Then the lower 6 bits should be
programmed to the required value and the MSB should be made 0.
ALC Mode: There are several modes in which ALC can operate:
