configure rip routetimeout {<seconds>}
Description
Configures the route timeout period.
Syntax Description
Default
180 seconds.
Usage Guidelines
If a router does not receive an update message from its neighbor within the route timeout period (180
seconds by default), the router assumes the connection between it and its neighbor is no longer
available.
Example
The following example sets the route timeout period to 120 seconds:
configure rip routetimeout 120

This command was available in ExtremeWare 2.0.
Platform Availability
This command is available on all platforms.
seconds Specifies a time in seconds.
