BGP Commands
configure bgp cluster-id
configure bgp cluster-id <bgp cluster id (0 - 4294967295)>
Description
Configures the local cluster ID.
Syntax Description
Default
N/A.
Usage Guidelines
Used when multiple route reflectors are used within the same cluster of clients.
Extreme Networks recommends disabling BGP before configuring the cluster ID.
Example
The following command appends a BGP route reflector cluster ID to the cluster list of a route:
configure bgp cluster-id 40000
History
This command was first available in ExtremeWare 6.1.
Platform Availability
This command is available on all platforms.
bgp cluster id Specifies a 4 byte field used by a route reflector to recognize updates from
other route reflectors in the same cluster.
