Configuration and Image Commands
configure configuration-mode
configure configuration-mode <standard | enhanced>
Description
Configures the default startup configuration for the switch.
Syntax Description
Default
The standard mode is the default configuration mode.
Usage Guidelines
This command configures the default startup configuration for the switch. To remove an enhanced
mode configuration and reset the configuration to the default standard configuration mode, use the
unconfigure configuration-mode
command.
Example
The following command sets the default startup configuration for the switch to enhanced mode, in
which the switch will start up with all ports disabled:
configure configuration-mode enhanced

This command was first available in ExtremeWare 7.3.0
Platform Availability
This command is available on all platforms.
standard Specifies the standard default configuration mode, in which ExtremeWare
starts the switch with all ports in forwarding mode. The default configuration
mode is the standard mode.
enhanced Specifies the enhanced default configuration mode, in which ExtremeWare
starts the switch with all ports disabled. The default configuration mode is the
standard mode.
