PROFINET PERSISTENT-STORAGE
clear profinet persistent-storage
Overview Use this command to clear the PROFINET persistent storage.
Syntax
clear profinet persistent-storage

Usage notes As part of the PROFINET set of protocols, it is possible for an external PROFINET
Controller to set ‘persistent’ attribute settings which will be restored if the device
reboots, for example, to change the IP address of a device or the PROFINET station
name (which maps onto the unit’s hostname). Not all of these attributes map well
to the AlliedWare Plus™ configuration settings, therefore some of these will appear
‘hidden’ from the AlliedWare Plus command line. This command clears the settings
that the Profinet protocol asks to be persistent.
To clear all profinet settings, including the ‘hidden’ ones, use the clear profinet full
command.
Example To clear PROFINET persistent storage, use the command:
awplus# clear profinet persistent-storage
