ALARM MONITORING COMMANDS
ALARM
FACILITY INPUT-ALARM ALARM-POSITION
alarm facility input-alarm alarm-position
Overview Use this command to specify whether an alarm occurs when the input contact
opens or closes.
Then use the commands alarm facility input-alarm led and alarm facility
input-alarm relay to specify whether the alarm triggers an LED or a relay.
Syntax
alarm facility input-alarm 1 alarm-position {open|close}
Default Open
Mode Global Configuration
Example To trigger the alarm relay when the input contact closes, use the commands:
awplus# configure terminal
awplus(config)# alarm facility input-alarm 1 alarm-position
close
awplus(config)# alarm facility input-alarm 1 relay
To return to the default state of open, use the commands:
awplus# configure terminal
awplus(config)# alarm facility input-alarm 1 alarm-position
open

switches have one input contact, so
this must be 1.
