ALARM
FACILITY POWER-SUPPLY RELAY
alarm facility power-supply relay
Overview Use this command to trigger an alarm relay if a specified power supply is not
supplying power.
This will activate the device that you have connected to the switch’s relay output
(for example, you could connect a buzzer to the relay output).
Note that if both of the switch’s power supplies stop supplying power, the switch
will turn off and the relay will open, so the alarm will trigger.
Use the no variant of this command to remove this alarm.
Syntax
alarm facility power-supply <power-supply-number> relay
no alarm facility power-supply <power-supply-number> relay
Default By default, there are no alarms

Usage notes You can also use an alarm to flash the fault LED, by using the command alarm
facility power-supply led.
Example To trigger the alarm relay if power supply 2 goes down, use the commands:
awplus# configure terminal
awplus(config)# alarm facility power-supply 2 relay
To remove that alarm, use the commands:
awplus# configure terminal
awplus(config)# no alarm facility power-supply 2 relay

Parameter Description
power-supply
<power-supply-number>
The number of the power supply you want to monitor
with this alarm. The switch has two power supplies, so
the number is 1 or 2.
